Executive Summary

A 9-month real-world pilot with Cáritas Coimbra showed that Klikkit increased adherence to therapy and daily care routines from 26% to nearly 80% among elderly users.

Participants: 72 older adults (65+)

Setting: Nursing homes -  Day-care centers - Home care services

Groups: randomized in: Intervention group - 

Control group with standard care

Participants in the intervention group used the Klikkit system for at least three months.

Adherence was measured through task completion logs and caregiver reports.

Adherence task completion rate:

  • DayWise users: 79.8%

Users often interacted positively with the physical buttons, turning adherence into a simple and rewarding routine.

Importantly, the system did not increase perceived caregiver burden.
